Each H2D nozzle misses a strip

You run an H2D or H2D Pro and print files other people send you. The bed is 350 mm wide, but the left nozzle stops at X325 and the right one starts at X25. A file can sit inside the bed and still send a nozzle somewhere it cannot go. Send us the file. We check every extrusion against the nozzle that prints it, before it reaches the printer.

Why the bed check is not enough

The bed check passes. Most checks ask one question: is every move inside 350 by 320 mm? On an H2D that misses a 25 mm strip on each side.

Each nozzle has its own reach. BambuStudio 2.08's own H2D profile: nozzle 1 reaches X0 to 325, nozzle 2 reaches X25 to 350.

The file says which nozzle. Its filament map assigns each filament to a nozzle. We read it the way BambuStudio does, then check that nozzle's moves.

One real plate, two places

A 34 mm PLA test part sliced by BambuStudio 2.08 for an H2D with two 0.6 mm nozzles, 124 layers, its filament on nozzle 1. Checked on 15 October 2026 with fabkit:

  • PASSas sliced, part at X158 to 192bed check pass, nozzle reach pass
  • FAILthe same plate moved 150 mm right, part at X308 to 342bed check still pass; 15,683 extrusion moves past nozzle 1's X325

Try your own placement. Pick the nozzle and where the part sits:

The edges only. A real file also has skirts, wipes and purge lines, which is why we check every move in it.

What you get

Every move, on its own nozzle
Each extrusion checked against the reach of the nozzle its filament is mapped to, with the first bad line number.
Seventeen checks on a Bambu .3mf
Bed, travel, temperatures, cold extrusion, speed, flow, retraction, layers, the archive checksum and the printer the file was sliced for.
A plain verdict
PASS, FAIL or CANNOT DETERMINE, and why. A file with no filament map is never called safe.
Before it reaches the printer
You send the file, we answer before you start the print.
