A 0.6 mm nozzle for your batch
Your printer came with a 0.4 mm nozzle and it has never come off. For brackets, housings and other parts nobody looks at closely, a 0.6 mm nozzle can take more than a quarter off every print. Send us the STL. We slice it with both on your printer and give you the hours for each, read from the slicer's own result.
See both slicesWhy the choice is hard
Wider lines, fewer of them. A 0.6 mm nozzle lays thicker layers and wider lines, so the part needs fewer passes.
It adds up on a batch. The 0.6 saves 17 minutes on this part. On 300 of them that is 87 printer-hours.
Detail is the price. Fine text, small holes and sharp corners come out softer. For a part that only has to fit and hold, that rarely matters.
Two real slices, one part
A shell from our small walking robot in PETG on a Bambu A1, auto-oriented the way our farm plates it, each nozzle on BambuStudio 2.08's own Standard preset for it. Sliced on 15 October 2026:
- 0.40.20 mm Standard59 min 33 s, 12.67 g
- 0.60.30 mm Standard42 min 10 s, 13.34 g
Now your batch. Pick a nozzle and how many:
One part at a time, back to back. On this part the 0.6 mm nozzle saves 29 %. Your part will differ, which is why we slice it.
What you get
- The slicer's own numbers
- Seconds and grams read off BambuStudio's result, with the exact printer, process and filament presets, so anyone can slice it again and get the same.
- Both nozzles, side by side
- 0.4 and 0.6 mm on your printer, and the difference over your batch.
- The warnings, before the batch
- Cantilevers, supports and orientation, found on one part instead of on part 40.
- A farm if you want one
- We can print the batch across our farms in Shenzhen, at the hours we quoted.
