What the plastic in a part costs
Bambu Studio fills in a price per kilogram for every spool and shows the plastic cost of each plate. Here it is for your grams, with the preset price or your own.
Work it outWhat the presets say
Ten times apart. The presets run from 17.99 (Bambu PETG Basic) to 195.99 (Bambu PPA-CF) per kilogram.
Fibre costs more. Bambu PA6-CF is set at 76.99 and PAHT-CF at 91.99, against 19.99 for PLA Basic.
A 40 g part is cents. At 19.99 per kilogram a 40 g PLA part is 0.80 in plastic. Machine time and failures cost more.
Your spool
From BambuStudio 02.08.02.61, its own filament presets for the X1 Carbon with a 0.4 mm nozzle (86 spools, each resolved through its parent presets). Preset prices are whatever Bambu put in the field filament_cost, in the slicer currency; your supplier price is the real one.
