How much is left on your spool

A spool is sold by weight but used by length. Each spool in Bambu Studio has a density, so weigh what is left and see how many metres and parts it still holds.

What the presets say

ABS goes further. At 1.04 g/cm³ a kilogram of Bambu ABS is 399 m. Bambu PLA Basic at 1.26 is 329 m.

Same weight, different length. The densities run from 0.93 to 1.4 g/cm³, so one kilogram is between 296 and 447 m.

One metre weighs about 3 g. A metre of 1.75 mm PLA Basic is 3.03 g; of ABS 2.50 g.

Your spool

From BambuStudio 02.08.02.61, its own filament presets for the X1 Carbon with a 0.4 mm nozzle (86 spools, each resolved through its parent presets). 1.75 mm filament; weigh the spool and take off the empty spool (about 250 g for a Bambu plastic spool, check yours). Field: filament_density.
