Which support filament for your spool

A support filament comes off clean only when it is made for the plastic it holds up. Pick your spool and see which Bambu supports are named for it and how close they print.

Work it out

What the presets say

9 support spools in Bambu Studio. Bambu makes 7 of them; the others are generic.

PVA dissolves in water. The others break away.

Close temperatures print best. A support printed far hotter or colder than the part makes the nozzle heat or cool at every change.

Your spool

From BambuStudio 02.08.02.61, its own filament presets for the X1 Carbon with a 0.4 mm nozzle (86 spools, each resolved through its parent presets). Matched by the plastic named in each Bambu support spool's name, against filament_type. Temperatures are the X1 Carbon 0.4 mm presets. Interface settings decide how clean it comes off.
